Bangle Size Guide

Bangles don't slide over your wrist — they have to clear your hand. So the measurement that matters is the widest part of your hand, not your wrist. It takes about thirty seconds.

How to measure your hand

How to measure your hand for a bangle: thumb tucked into the palm with a measuring tape wrapped around the widest part of the hand across the knuckles
  1. Make the bangle shape. Bring your fingers together and tuck your thumb into your palm, toward the base of your little finger — exactly as if you were slipping a bangle on.
  2. Wrap and measure. Take a soft measuring tape, a piece of string, or a strip of paper and wrap it around the widest part of your hand, across the knuckles and around the tucked thumb joint.
  3. Mark the overlap. Snug, but not tight. Mark where the ends meet.
  4. Read it flat. Lay the string or paper against a ruler. That number is your hand circumference.

No measuring tape? A strip of paper and a ruler works perfectly. iPhone users can also use the built-in Measure app to read the strip.

Will your size fit?

Our bangle is currently made in one size:

Size 6 — Medium
2.75 in (70 mm) inner diameter
8.6 in (219 mm) inner circumference

Your hand measures How Size 6 will fit
Under 7.5 in Relaxed — moves freely on the wrist, ideal for that loose stacked look
7.5 – 8.25 in Just right — slips on easily and sits beautifully
8.25 – 8.6 in Close fit — will pass over the hand with a gentle squeeze
Over 8.6 in Too small — get in touch and we'll add you to the list for larger sizes

Between two fits? Always size up. A bangle that won't clear your knuckles can't be worn at all, while a slightly roomy one still looks exactly right.

Already own a bangle you love?

Lay it flat and measure straight across the inside, from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge. That's the inner diameter — compare it to our 2.75 in and you'll know instantly.

Common questions

Should I measure my dominant hand?
Yes. It's usually slightly larger, and it's better for a bangle to be a touch roomy than impossible to put on.

What if my hands swell?
Measure at the end of the day or after being warm, when your hands are at their largest. Heat, exercise, and travel all make a difference.

Can I convert circumference to diameter myself?
Divide your hand circumference by 3.14. A hand measuring 8.6 in needs an inner diameter of at least 2.75 in.

How many bangles should I stack?
There's no rule. Three to five reads intentional, seven or more makes a statement. Each one is sold individually so you can build it your way.
